Daniel Rhine

Daniel "Danny" Everett Rhine of Queenstown, MD peacefully passed away on March 26, 2025 at R. Adams Cowley Shock Trauma center, surrounded by his loving family.  Born on August 6, 1961 at Raiford Memorial Hospital in Franklin, VA, he was the second child to Donald "Don" and Della "Dee" Rhine.  Danny grew up in Waldorf, MD and graduated from Thomas Stone High School in 1979.  Danny then started working for the Architect of the Capitol in Washington, DC in 1980, making this his career until he retired in 2016.  Danny met the love of his life, Maureen in 1988 and they were married in the summer of 1990.  Danny and Maureen moved to Queenstown, MD in 1991 where they would spend the rest of their lives together.  Maureen was the love of his life, and he devoted his life to taking care of her when she got sick in 1989 after her diagnosis with Multiple Sclerosis (MS) until he physically could not care for her anymore.

Danny is survived by his daughter Nichole Tull, granddaughter Macaylah Garnett, brother Donald Rhine, Jr., sister Terri Young (Eddie Young) and nephews Eddie Young, Jr. and Matthew Young.

Preceding Danny in death is his wife Maureen Rhine, mother Della Rhine and father Donald Rhine.

In lieu of flowers, we ask that you donate to Compass Hospice of Centreville, MD in memory of his wife Maureen.

Celebration of life for both Maureen and Danny will be on April 26 at 4:00 p.m. at the Moose Lodge in Queenstown, MD.
